Padrón Cigars Creates Unified Band Design for Signature Lines

July 10, 2024 Inspector X 2 min read

Padrón Cigars is making a subtle yet significant modification to the bands of its renowned product lines, including the Padrón 1964 Anniversary Series, Serie 1926, and Dámaso Series. This change, already beginning to appear on some products in the market, marks a shift in the company’s branding approach.

Traditionally, many of Padrón’s premium cigars have featured dual bands, with one band overlaying another. The bottom band typically displayed a variety of numbers, creating a distinctive look for each cigar. However, the company is now transitioning to a single, unified band design that integrates elements from both previous bands. This new, one-piece band aims to streamline the appearance of Padrón cigars while maintaining their iconic aesthetic.

We made a design change, so now the bands are integrated,” explains Jorge Padrón, president of the company. This decision reflects a desire to enhance the visual appeal and branding consistency across their product lines.

The transition to single bands will also extend to the Family Reserve Series, although this change will be implemented more gradually. “It’s going to be gradual,” Padrón notes, indicating that the company is taking a careful approach to ensure the new bands meet their high standards of quality and craftsmanship.

It’s important to note that special releases, such as the Padrón 90th, 80th, 45th, and others that traditionally feature a secondary band, will retain this element. These secondary bands add a layer of distinction to these limited editions and will continue to be part of their unique presentation.

The move to integrated bands is part of Padrón Cigars’ broader effort to refine and modernize its branding while staying true to the elements that have made its cigars beloved by aficionados worldwide. The new bands are expected to provide a cleaner, more cohesive look without sacrificing the brand’s heritage and recognition.

As these new bands gradually roll out, consumers can expect to see a seamless transition that upholds Padrón’s legacy of excellence. This thoughtful update underscores the company’s commitment to evolving with the times while honouring the traditions that have defined its success. With the introduction of these integrated bands, Padrón Cigars continues to set the standard in the premium cigar industry, offering products that are not only exceptional in quality but also in presentation.
