Los Statos Deluxe Connecticut: The New Mild Marvel in Striking Purple
In 2022, Scandinavian Tobacco Group revitalized its Los Statos Deluxe brand with an updated blend and modern packaging. Now, the brand is introducing its third and lightest version, the Los Statos Deluxe Connecticut, which shipped earlier this month. The new design is eye-catching with its striking purple presentation.
Created by STG brand manager Justin Andrews and Matt Booth, known for Room101 cigars, this line is intended to be mild to medium-bodied.

The blend features an Ecuador Connecticut wrapper, a Nicaraguan Habano binder, and a mix of Nicaraguan fillers from Jalapa and Estelí, along with some Pennsylvanian broadleaf in the filler. Unlike the other two Los Statos Deluxe lines produced in Honduras at the HATSA factory owned by STG, the new cigars are made in Nicaragua by Joya de Nicaragua.
“When we started developing Los Statos Deluxe Connecticut, we wanted it to be a ‘smoker’s Connecticut,’ a milder cigar compared to the rest of the Los Statos Deluxe portfolio, yet with plenty of dimension, depth, and nuance,” says senior brand manager Matt Wilson.
The line is available in four sizes: Robusto (5 inches by 50, $8.79), Toro (6 by 52, $9.49), Churchill (7 by 48, $9.99), and Gigante (6 by 60, $9.99). The cigars are shipped in boxes of 20, each individually wrapped in paper sleeves.
Los Statos Deluxe is distributed by Forged Cigar Co., a subsidiary of STG.
