Kyle Gellis Launches Piece Unique: A Limited-Edition Cigar Inspired by Haute Horology
In the world of luxury, the term “piece unique” refers to a one-of-a-kind creation, often reserved for elite collectors, such as the renowned Patek Philippe Grandmaster Chime Ref. 6300A-010. Drawing inspiration from this concept, Kyle Gellis of Warped Cigars has introduced a new premium cigar brand aptly named Piece Unique.
While the Piece Unique brand is not limited to just one cigar, Gellis is applying a similar philosophy to cigar-making. He explains, “I’m utilizing the same methodology, crafting the interior blend only once.” This meticulous approach results in a truly unique, medium-bodied cigar, crafted with an Ecuadorian Connecticut shade wrapper, a Nicaraguan binder, and fillers sourced from both Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. The cigars are hand-rolled at Tabacalera La Isla in the Dominican Republic and aged for one year in Spanish cedar before being carefully packaged.
The Piece Unique cigar measures 6 inches with a 52-ring gauge, and each cigar is priced at $40. Presented in 15-count boxes, only 500 boxes will be produced, ensuring its exclusivity. Gellis anticipates that the cigars will begin shipping to tobacconists in the U.S. and internationally by early November.
Reflecting on the journey behind the creation of Piece Unique, Gellis shared, “The journey to complete Piece Unique took over two years, from sourcing the right tobaccos to fine-tuning the blend, all to achieve the vision we set for this cigar.”
The result is a carefully curated cigar that not only exudes luxury but also embodies the exclusivity and craftsmanship associated with its name, making it a sought-after item for discerning cigar connoisseurs.
