Spain Selects Partagás for Its 2024 Tauromaquia Series

October 9, 2024 Inspector X 2 min read

For the sixth consecutive year, Spain’s exclusive Cuban cigar distributor, Tabacalera S.L.U., has launched the latest edition of its highly anticipated Tauromaquia series. The 2024 release, designed specifically for the Spanish market, celebrates the country’s deep-rooted tradition of bullfighting through a combination of fine cigars and stunning artwork. This year, the series honours famed 18th-century bullfighter Pedro Romero, a legendary figure known for shaping the art of bullfighting into what it is today.

The 2024 Tauromaquia collection features 10 Partagás Serie E No. 2 cigars, each carefully housed in a beautifully designed, glossy lacquered box that reflects the elegance and heritage of Spain’s bullfighting culture. The Partagás Serie E No. 2 is known for its robust flavour and full-bodied smoke, making it an ideal selection for this year’s series. As with previous editions, the cigars are adorned with a special foot band, signifying their inclusion in the Tauromaquia collection.

The Tauromaquia series has become a highly collectible annual release in Spain, known for blending the worlds of premium Cuban cigars and artistic tributes to iconic figures from the bullfighting world. Last year, the series featured Montecristo No. 2 cigars in honour of legendary matador José Luis Mazzantini y Eguía, while the 2022 edition celebrated Manuel Laureano Rodríguez Sánchez with a box of Hoyo de Monterrey Le Hoyo de San Juans.

This year’s Partagás Serie E No. 2 Tauromaquia cigars are priced at 35 euros each (approximately $38) or 350 euros per box of 10 cigars, translating to around $384 per box. With only 1,000 boxes being produced, these cigars are expected to be highly sought after by collectors and aficionados alike.

The Tauromaquia series not only showcases the exceptional craftsmanship behind each cigar but also pays tribute to Spain’s cultural heritage, making each release a celebration of art, tradition, and fine tobacco.
