PCA’s 2024 Fall Fundraiser Raises Nearly $40,000 for Advocacy Efforts
On 25 September 2024, the Premium Cigar Association (PCA) hosted its annual Fall Fundraiser on the rooftop of Don Tito in Arlington, Virginia. Running from 6 PM to 9 PM, the event successfully raised nearly $40,000 for the PCA Industry Defense Fund, which supports the association’s advocacy efforts at both federal and state levels.
“This marks our fifth year hosting this annual event,” remarked Joshua Habursky, Executive Director of the PCA. “Our team eagerly anticipates welcoming our board of directors, manufacturing partners, local retailers, and cigar enthusiasts each year. We have introduced unique elements to this year’s event, making it our most financially successful to date.”
Attendees included PCA members, cigar advocates, and enthusiasts from across the United States. Upon arrival, guests received exclusive event gift packs featuring cigars and accessories from leading premium cigar and spirit brands. A highlight of the evening was a live auction, expertly conducted by Michael Herklots, co-owner of Ferio Tego. The auction featured a selection of humidors from La Aurora, Gurkha, La Galera, and Fratello, along with premium ashtrays from Drew Estate, United Cigars, and Ferio Tego, as well as boxes of cigars from Gurkha, Ferio Tego, United Group, and La Aurora.
The fundraiser also marked the official U.S. launch of Toscano Cigar’s Toscano Brenta, a premium cigar crafted from air-cured tobacco. Toscano brand ambassador Michael Cappellini led a special pairing session for attendees featuring the new Toscano Brenta, which quickly sold out following the event.
