Cohiba Versus Montecristo: Which is The Best Cuban Lancero Cigar?
Cohiba and Montecristo are two of the most iconic brands from Cuba. They are also currently the only brands from Cuba that have a lancero-sized cigar as part of their standard line. However, the difference is that the Cohiba cigar is almost triple the price of the Montecristo, so I wanted to know which of the two cigars is the best from Cuba.
In our latest video, we compare the Montecristo Especial against the Cohiba Lancero to see which of the two is the best lancero-sized cigar. Both have the same dimensions: 7.5 inches in length and a 38 ring gauge. The biggest difference between the two is the price, with the Cohiba being significantly more expensive. Due to this, for many people the price point is enough to help them decide between the two. However, I wanted to see how each cigar performed without focusing too much on the price.
In the video linked above, we compare both cigars to see which of the two is the best lancero cigar. Lancero cigars are some of my all-time favourite cigars. Not only is the lancero cigar the most elegant size, it also presents some of the boldest and most beautiful expressions of any given blend. Lancero cigars are also the most difficult to roll and require the most experienced and capable cigar rollers. It’s for this reason that lancero cigars can be considered a luxury within a luxury, placing them at the peak of cigars.
