Plasencia Celebrates 2025 Year of the Snake with Elegant Limited Edition
Plasencia Cigars honours the 2025 Chinese Lunar New Year with El Año de la Culebra Edición Limitada 2025, a stunning collection inspired by the Year of the Snake. This release includes eight slender cigars and a unique two-stick culebra, embodying both tradition and innovation.
In cigar culture, a culebra is a bundle of thin cigars twisted together like serpents. True to its name—culebra means “snake” in Spanish—Plasencia’s interpretation combines artistry with rarity. Each box contains eight traditionally shaped cigars and a two-stick culebra, all measuring 7 inches long with a 40-ring gauge. While labelled lanceros, these cigars lack the signature pigtail cap typically associated with the shape, giving them a distinctive identity.
Crafted entirely from Nicaraguan tobacco grown on Plasencia’s estates, the cigars reflect the family’s generations of expertise. Produced at the Plasencia factory in Estelí, this limited edition is truly exclusive—only 6,000 boxes will be made, with half allocated for the U.S. market.
Priced at $49 each, the elegant lanceros cater to discerning connoisseurs, while the two-stick culebra offers a unique experience for $98. A complete box is available for $490, making it a coveted collector’s item.
“El Año de la Culebra Edición Limitada 2025 is a tribute to the Chinese Lunar Year, featuring elegant Lanceros and the unique Culebra,” says Nestor Andrés Plasencia, a fifth-generation company leader. “Each cigar reflects the artistry and precision of our master rollers.”
Expected to ship later this month, this release highlights Plasencia’s commitment to blending cultural celebration with premium craftsmanship, making it a must-have for enthusiasts seeking a refined, festive smoking experience.
