Introducing Two New Tampa-Made Cigar Brands from J.C. Newman
J.C. Newman Cigar Co. has launched The El Reloj Collection, a sampler exclusively featuring Tampa-made cigars. Highlighting the set are two debuting brands: Angel Cuesta Shade and Tampa Smokers, both offering an exclusive preview before their official release.
The El Reloj Collection was made available last month to retail members of the Tobacconists’ Association of America. This limited-edition sampler contains 10 cigars:
- Two Angel Cuesta Rosado Toros
- Two Toros from The American line
- Two LeRoy Neiman cigars from the 2024 Collector’s Edition
- Two Angel Cuesta Shade Toros (first release)
- Two Tampa Smokers Toros (first release)
Crafted at the historic El Reloj factory, located atop J.C. Newman’s headquarters in Tampa, this collection underscores the artistry of American cigar-making. While The American, Angel Cuesta Rosado, and LeRoy Neiman cigars are already celebrated, the new additions offer an exciting glimpse into J.C. Newman’s evolving portfolio.
The Angel Cuesta Shade introduces a Nicaraguan shade-grown wrapper, diverging from the Rosado line’s Ecuadoran Havana wrapper. Beneath, a Cameroon binder and a blend of Nicaraguan and Dominican tobaccos complete the profile. The full Angel Cuesta Shade line is slated for an April launch at the PCA trade show, with only the Toro available in this sampler.
Tampa Smokers pays homage to Tampa’s minor league baseball team. This cigar features a light Ecuadoran wrapper from Connecticut seeds, a Nicaraguan binder, and a blend of Nicaraguan and Dominican fillers. Its official release coincides with baseball season on March 27th, but the sampler offers a sneak peek.
Priced at $240, only 500 boxes of The El Reloj Collection were produced. “This collection showcases how we are keeping America’s historic cigar-making tradition alive,” says Drew Newman, J.C. Newman’s fourth-generation owner. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to savour these luxury cigars.
