Great Wall Cigars Launches Four New Cigars in Hong Kong and Macau
Sichuan Tobacco Industry Co., Ltd., the owner of the Great Wall Cigar brand, and China Tobacco International Group Limited hosted two events in Hong Kong and Macau from December 17 to 18. The events celebrated the first anniversary of the Great Wall Life Hong Kong Flagship Store and introduced four new cigar releases to the market.
In Hong Kong, the “Celebration of the First Anniversary of the Great Wall Life Hong Kong Flagship Store and the 2025 Great Wall Cigar New Product Launch” highlighted the debut of two handmade cigars, the Great Wall Year of the Snake Limited Edition and the Great Wall Spectacular No. 3 Vintage 2020. During the event, Great Wall Cigar presented seven awards, including the 2024 Outstanding Partnership Award, recognizing the contributions of local retailers and media to the brand’s growth.
In Macau, the “Great Wall Cigar Tasting Event Celebrating the 25th Anniversary of Macau’s Return to the Motherland and the Great Wall × San Luis New Product Launch” introduced two additional cigars. These included the Great Wall GL No. 1 Reserve Commemorative Edition for the 25th Anniversary of Macao’s Return to the Motherland and the Great Wall × San Luis Limited Customization Canonazo. The event also featured the same two cigars launched in Hong Kong. Attendees included representatives from major cigar enterprises, retailers, influencers, and consumers.
Great Wall GL No. 1 Reserve Commemorative Edition

The Great Wall GL No. 1 Reserve Commemorative Edition was crafted to honor the 25th anniversary of Macau’s return to China. Each cigar is housed in a porcelain jar designed by Yong Feng Yuan, featuring an Azure Dragon motif symbolizing Eastern mythology. The cigars use a blend of Chinese, Nicaraguan, and Dominican tobaccos, with an Ecuadorian wrapper and Dominican binder. The vitola is a Double Corona, measuring 194mm in length with a ring gauge of 48. This release includes 2,000 cigars presented in 100 jars. The MSRP is HKD 52,888 per pair of jars containing 40 cigars, with availability starting December 20, 2024, in Macau and Hong Kong.
Great Wall Year of the Snake Limited Edition

The Year of the Snake Limited Edition marks Great Wall’s first release in the Culebra format. Originally blended in 2017, the cigar uses premium aged tobaccos with an Ecuadorian wrapper, Nicaraguan binder, and a filler mix from China, the Dominican Republic, and Nicaragua. Each cigar is 168mm long with a ring gauge of 38. The release is limited to 2,025 boxes, with each box containing nine cigars arranged in groups of three. The MSRP is HKD 2,880 per box, with availability beginning December 20, 2024, in both Hong Kong and Macau.
Great Wall × San Luis Limited Customization Canonazo

The Canonazo, a collaboration with the Macau-based San Luis Group, uses Chinese tobacco from Fujian and Hainan, aged in oak barrels for a mellow profile. The cigars are 160mm long with a ring gauge of 52, featuring an Ecuadorian wrapper, Dominican binder, and a filler blend of Chinese, Nicaraguan, and Dominican tobaccos. This limited release includes 10,000 cigars in 1,000 boxes, each priced at HKD 3,980. The cigars will be available exclusively in Macau starting December 20, 2024.
Great Wall Spectacular No. 3 Vintage 2020
This is a continuation of Great Wall’s popular Spectacular No. 3 line. The 2020 Vintage features a Dominican wrapper and binder, with filler tobaccos from China and the Dominican Republic. The cigars are Robusto in size, measuring 124mm in length with a ring gauge of 50. The release includes 8,000 cigars in 800 boxes, each priced at HKD 1,880. Availability starts in May 2024 in Hong Kong and November 2024 in Macau.
