Villiger Introduces 1888 Nicaragua Box-Pressed Toro
Villiger Cigars North America is set to expand its acclaimed 1888 Nicaragua line with a new box-pressed Toro. This eagerly anticipated release, developed in collaboration with Tobacco Tactical, offers a fresh take on the popular blend.
The Villiger 1888 Nicaragua Box-Pressed Toro measures 6 x 52, a slight departure from the standard round 6 x 50 Toro in the regular production line. The cigar features an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper, paired with a Nicaraguan binder and a blend of Nicaraguan and Pennsylvania fillers, creating a rich and complex flavour profile. Priced at $12 per cigar, this limited-edition release comes in boxes of 20, with a total production run of only 500 boxes.
Shipping begins on Wednesday, 22nd January, making this a must-have for cigar enthusiasts eager to try a unique twist on the 1888 Nicaragua series. The packaging for this release prominently displays the branding of Tobacco Tactical, a lifestyle brand known for its online storefront and monthly subscription club. The partnership between Villiger and Tobacco Tactical stems from a 2023 visit to the Villiger de Nicaragua factory, which inspired this collaborative effort. Alexander Berezowski of My Cigar Pack also played a key role in bringing this project to life.
“This release is a testament to our commitment to innovation and the value of creative partnerships,” said Michael Medrano, founder of Tobacco Tactical, in a press release. “It’s an exciting glimpse of what’s to come as we continue to push boundaries in the premium cigar industry.”
With its distinctive box-pressed shape and carefully crafted blend, the Villiger 1888 Nicaragua Box-Pressed Toro is poised to stand out as a premium addition to any cigar collection. Be sure to act quickly to secure one of these limited-edition boxes before they’re gone.
