JRE Tobacco Co. Revamps Rancho Luna and Brings Back Aladino Candela Toro for 2025
JRE Tobacco Co. is kicking off 2025 with exciting updates to two beloved cigar lines, showcasing their revamped Rancho Luna and the latest release of the Aladino Candela Toro at this year’s TPE trade show in Las Vegas. These releases highlight the company’s commitment to tradition, innovation, and quality, offering aficionados something both familiar and fresh.
Rancho Luna: A Revamped Classic
One of JRE’s earliest lines, Rancho Luna, has been completely reworked for 2025. The cigar is now a mixed filler blend, featuring a whole-leaf wrapper and binder with a filler composed of cuts and trimmings from the production of other cigars at the Fábrica de Puros Aladino in Las Lomas Jamastran, Honduras. Previously a long filler cigar, this transformation offers a new take while maintaining affordability and quality.
Rancho Luna is available in a single 6 x 52 toro size and comes in two distinct variations. The blue-banded version uses a Connecticut-seed wrapper, while the red-banded version features a Habano-seed wrapper. Both blends are crafted entirely with tobacco from the Eiroa family farms, ensuring their signature Honduran quality. With an MSRP of $6 per cigar, Rancho Luna is offered in bundles of 20 and promises excellent value for smokers.
Aladino Candela Toro: A Nod to Tradition
Returning for 2025 is the limited-edition Aladino Candela Toro. This 6 x 52 toro is part of an annual release, coinciding with the lead-up to St. Patrick’s Day. Priced at $10.50 per cigar, the Aladino Candela continues to honour JRE’s candela legacy. As Vivi Eiroa noted, the candela wrapper pays homage to her grandfather Julio, who was a major candela grower during the wrapper’s peak popularity in the 1980s and 1990s.
Though details about the blend remain undisclosed, the Aladino Candela has historically been described as an all-Honduran blend with a corojo-seed green candela wrapper. While candela wrappers are now seen as niche, their rapid production process—taking less than a week—makes them a unique and efficient choice for cigar makers.
Both the reimagined Rancho Luna and the limited Aladino Candela Toro are ready to ship to retailers, offering something for cigar enthusiasts of all preferences. Whether you’re drawn to the heritage of candela or the accessible elegance of Rancho Luna, JRE’s latest offerings are a testament to their craft.
