Ramón Allones Absolutos Edición Limitada 2024 Debuts in Basel
Habanos, S.A., in collaboration with Intertabak AG, hosted an exclusive global launch for the highly anticipated Ramón Allones Absolutos Edición Limitada 2024 in Basel, Switzerland. The event, held at “Halle 7,” brought together enthusiasts, retailers, and industry leaders for an unforgettable evening celebrating the latest limited edition release.
A Spectacular Launch Event
More than 120 guests attended the prestigious event, which featured live music, exclusive tastings, and unique surprises. Switzerland remains one of the most significant markets for Habanos, and Intertabak AG, headquartered in Pratteln, has been the exclusive distributor for Switzerland and Liechtenstein since 1995.
Attendees had the opportunity to experience the Ramón Allones Absolutos, a 49-ring gauge, 156mm vitola, along with a curated selection of Ramón Allones No. 3 and Gigantes cigars. Each Habano in this limited edition is “Totally Handmade with Long Filler” and aged for at least two years, ensuring a refined smoking experience. Presented in an elegant box of 20 cigars, these Habanos feature an additional 2024 Edición Limitada cigar band, signifying their exclusivity and craftsmanship.
Exclusive Highlights and Guest Appearances
One of the evening’s standout moments was a special raffle, where the winner received a luxurious weekend at Manoir Henri Giraud in Aÿ-Champagne, France, featuring an exclusive pairing of Habanos, champagne, and caviar.
Another highlight was the speech by José María López Inchaurbe, Vice-President of Development at Habanos, S.A., who revealed the craftsmanship behind the brand’s Limited Editions. The unveiling of the elegant Ramón Allones Absolutos box added to the excitement, turning the moment into a grand spectacle. The event also saw the presence of several notable figures, including the Cuban Ambassador to Switzerland, Laura Pujol Torres, and distinguished “Habano Awards” winners such as Vahé Gérard, Dominique Gyselink, and Urs Portmann.
Hosted by Patric Much, who previously led the Montecristo L’Esprit launch, the evening was further enhanced by the vibrant sounds of French Latin Jazz band Los Guapos and exquisite catering from the renowned Blindekuh restaurant.
A Fitting Finale
As a token of appreciation, each guest received a limited-edition S.T. Dupont case in Ramón Allones’ signature electric green, with a custom metallic engraving commemorating the event. The case contained two Ramón Allones Absolutos Edición Limitada 2024 cigars, offering attendees a piece of this historic moment to take home.
