Karen Berger Unveils Ixtelli: A 100% Nicaraguan Cigar at PCA 2025

Karen Berger Cigars is set to make waves at the 2025 PCA Convention & Trade Show in New Orleans with the debut of Ixtelli, the company’s first all-Nicaraguan blend. This new release marks a significant milestone for the brand, further solidifying its commitment to high-quality Nicaraguan tobacco.

A Tribute to Estelí

Ixtelli, presented in a 6 x 52 toro vitola, takes its name from a historic term once used to describe what is now Estelí, Nicaragua—an area renowned for its world-class cigar production. The blend comprises a Habano Criollo wrapper, a Habano binder grown in Jalapa, and filler tobaccos from the company’s own Estelí farm. Every aspect of the cigar’s production occurs at the Karen Berger Cigars factory in Estelí, ensuring full control over quality and consistency.

Availability and Pricing

Each Ixtelli cigar will be available at an MSRP of $14.50 per stick, with boxes containing 20 cigars. Retailers can expect shipments to begin immediately after the PCA 2025 event, running from April 12-14. According to Bruce Busch, Vice President of Karen Berger Cigars, the company is prepared to meet demand swiftly following the trade show.
