Dominique London Expands into Germany with Acquisition of LCDH Nuremberg and Casa Del Puro
Dominique London has expanded into Germany with the acquisition of La Casa del Habano (LCDH) Nuremberg and Casa Del Puro. The purchase adds two established cigar retailers to the company’s portfolio, which now includes 29 locations across Europe.
LCDH Nuremberg, opened in 2006, was the third La Casa del Habano store to launch in Germany. It specializes in Cuban cigars, offering a selection housed in a walk-in humidor. Located at Hauptmarkt 9, the shop includes a lounge with leather seating and complimentary coffee for guests. Casa Del Puro, also based in Nuremberg, carries a broader range of cigars from Nicaragua, Honduras, and the Dominican Republic, along with pipe tobacco and smoking accessories.
Speaking on the acquisition, Dominique Gyselinck said the move aligns with the company’s goal of expanding its reach while maintaining high standards of service and product selection. The previous owner, Jürgen Haase, described the sale process as professional and efficient, crediting Dominique London CEO Frédéric Dechamps for handling the transition smoothly.
The two locations will continue operating under their existing names, with no immediate changes to their product offerings or customer experience. Dominique London has stated its intention to maintain the character of each store while integrating them into its broader retail network. The company, which has over 200 years of combined experience in the cigar trade, has built a reputation for its curated selection of cigars and spirits, as well as personalized service.
With this acquisition, Dominique London strengthens its position in the German market, adding to its presence across Europe. The company’s expansion strategy has focused on acquiring established cigar retailers while preserving their individual identities. LCDH Nuremberg and Casa Del Puro are expected to continue serving their loyal customer base while benefiting from Dominique London’s wider network and resources.
