The Tobacco Tactical Exclusive Crowned Heads Coroneta Habano 5 x 55 Box Pressed, or “555”, is the latest result of a creative partnership between Tobacco Tactical Cigar Co. and Crowned Heads. This collaboration enhances the Coroneta Habano blend in a box-pressed format, offering a refined smoking experience for aficionados.

A Vision Realised Through Collaboration

The origins of the 555 trace back to 2023, when Alexander Berezowski and Michael Medrano of Tobacco Tactical visited the NACSA factory in Nicaragua. While sampling prototype blends with Crowned Heads, the idea for a unique, small-batch cigar took shape. As Berezowski noted, the partnership was built on mutual admiration and a shared commitment to quality.

Crowned Heads co-founder Jon Huber embraced the concept, leading to a joint development process that ensured the 555 reflected the essence of both brands. NACSA, which also produces Tobacco Tactical’s La Luz Nicaragua line and Crowned Heads’ Coroneta Habano, played a critical role in bringing this cigar to life​

The Art of the Blend

Achieving the perfect balance for the 555 required extensive testing of sizes and blends to ensure that the box-pressed shape elevated the Coroneta Habano’s core flavour profile. “This wasn’t about speed—it was about getting it right,” said Medrano, highlighting the dedication to precision and excellence.

The 555 features a rich Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, Nicaraguan binder, and Nicaraguan fillers from Estelí, Condega, and Jalapa. This blend offers medium-to-full-bodied complexity, with spice, earth, and natural sweetness​.

Availability and Distribution

This limited-run cigar is restricted to 10,000 units, launching exclusively via Tobacco Tactical’s online platform in February 2025. Later in the year, select retail partners will receive a portion of the allocation in box format.

As Tobacco Tactical expands its wholesale program through its partnership with Villiger Cigars, the distribution of premium, exclusive releases like the 555 is expected to grow. “Our collaboration with Villiger is shaping a distribution model that ensures these cigars reach the right audience,” Berezowski noted​.
