Festival del Habano XXV Humidor Auction Winners to Receive Exclusive Perks
The Festival del Habano XXV, taking place from 24-28 February in Havana, will once again conclude with its prestigious humidor auction, benefiting the Cuban health system. This year, however, Habanos S.A. has announced a new incentive for auction winners, offering them access to a private selection program with exclusive privileges.
A Coveted Addition to the Humidor Auction
Each year, Habanos S.A. auctions a limited number of luxury humidors filled with 300-500 cigars, including regular production, limited editions, and occasionally unreleased blends. The 2024 auction saw seven lots fetch over $19 million, averaging an astonishing €2.25 million ($2.4 million) per humidor.
For 2025, winning bidders will gain access to the Habanos S.A. Private Selection, which includes:
• Priority access to exclusive cigars, including all Cohiba lines, iconic Trinidad vitolas, and premium selections from Montecristo 1935, Romeo y Julieta Línea de Oro, and Partagás Línea Maestra.
• The option for custom-banded cigars, offering a personal touch to their collection.
• A bespoke humidor capable of holding up to 300 cigars, designed to the buyer’s specifications.
Habanos World Days Also Included
The Habanos World Days event will also feature humidor auctions, and winners from this event will be eligible for the same Private Selection benefits. The first Habanos World Days took place in London in June 2023, focusing on the Trinidad brand. This announcement seemingly confirms another edition of the event for 2025.
An Exclusive Club for Cigar Aficionados
While pricing for personalised humidors and custom bands remains unclear, access to this program is reserved for only a handful of elite collectors and connoisseurs. Given the record-breaking auction prices in 2024, it’s evident that demand for high-end Cuban cigars remains strong.
With the Festival del Habano XXV fast approaching, all eyes will be on the final auction night to see how much the latest masterpiece humidors will fetch—and who will gain entry into this new VIP cigar club.
