Alec Bradley’s Filthy Hooligan & Shamrock Return for 2025 St. Patrick’s Day

February 20, 2025 Inspector X 2 min read

Cigar enthusiasts can rejoice as Alec Bradley’s highly anticipated annual St. Patrick’s Day releases—the Black Market Filthy Hooligan and Filthy Hooligan Shamrock—are once again hitting store shelves, bringing their distinctive barber pole designs and bold flavours back for 2025.

A Celebrated Annual Tradition

First introduced in 2013, the Black Market Filthy Hooligan quickly became a seasonal favourite among cigar lovers, with the more intricate Filthy Hooligan Shamrock following in 2019. Both cigars offer a unique twist on the original Black Market blend, making them standout additions to Alec Bradley’s portfolio.

The Blends & Construction

Both cigars share the same core blend: an Ecuadorian Sumatra binder encasing a selection of premium Honduran and Panamanian filler tobaccos. Their distinctiveness comes from their eye-catching wrappers and refined smoking experiences.

Black Market Filthy Hooligan – This version sports a striking barber pole design created by intertwining a Nicaraguan oscuro wrapper with a Honduran candela leaf. Priced at $12.69 per cigar, it comes in 24-count boxes.
Filthy Hooligan Shamrock – Taking things a step further, this edition incorporates a third wrapper: a Nicaraguan habano leaf that enhances complexity and depth. With an MSRP of $15.09, it is packaged in 10-count boxes.

Both cigars are presented in a 6 x 50 Toro vitola and are expertly crafted at Tabacos de Oriente in Danlí, Honduras.

A Seasonal Favourite Returns

We can’t help but share in the excitement around Filthy Hooligan and Filthy Hooligan Shamrock every year,” said Bradley Rubin, brand ambassador for Alec Bradley. “Their iconic candela barber pole offers a fresh change of pace as spring approaches and outdoor cigar season kicks off. It gives everyone something to look forward to, and we are honoured to deliver this unique and incredible smoking experience to our fans yet again in 2025.”

These limited-edition cigars are known for selling out quickly, so aficionados should act fast to secure their share of this celebrated annual release. While Alec Bradley, now part of Scandinavian Tobacco Group’s Forged Cigar Co., does not disclose production numbers, demand remains consistently high year after year.

For those seeking a St. Patrick’s Day cigar that blends tradition with innovation, the Filthy Hooligan and Filthy Hooligan Shamrock remain standout choices. Expect them to be a staple of seasonal cigar pairings as spring approaches.
