Trinidad Villa Announced as LCDH Exclusive
Habanos S.A. has unveiled the Trinidad Villa as the latest La Casa del Habano (LCDH) exclusive, marking the first time a Trinidad cigar has been selected for this prestigious series. The announcement was made at the Festival del Habano XXV, the annual Cuban cigar festival.
A First for Trinidad
Since 2006, Habanos S.A. has annually designated a cigar exclusively for LCDH franchises. The 2025 selection, the Trinidad Villa, features a 6 7/10-inch (170mm) x 47 vitola known as Julieta No.3, a new vitola for the Cuban cigar system. These cigars will be presented in boxes of 12, incorporating La Casa del Habano branding. It is expected that the cigars themselves will carry a secondary band signifying their LCDH-exclusive status.
What Makes LCDH Exclusive Cigars Special?
There are over 140 La Casa del Habano franchises worldwide, each independently owned but operating under a licensing agreement with Habanos S.A. To qualify for an LCDH license, stores must meet specific criteria, including requirements for humidors, lounge amenities, and an in-store aging room. In return, they gain access to exclusive releases such as the Trinidad Villa and priority allocation of newly released cigars.
Availability & Pricing
As with most exclusive Cuban cigars, no details have been released regarding the official launch date or pricing for the Trinidad Villa. However, LCDH franchises will be the only locations permitted to sell these cigars, ensuring a level of exclusivity that will appeal to collectors and aficionados alike. With the demand for limited-edition Habanos cigars at an all-time high, the Trinidad Villa is expected to be a sought-after release in 2025.
