Ashton Unveils La Aroma de Cuba Habano Reserve

March 7, 2025 Inspector X 2 min read

Ashton Distributors, Inc. has expanded its acclaimed La Aroma de Cuba line with the introduction of the new Habano Reserve. This latest addition continues the brand’s tradition of rich Nicaraguan cigars, promising a bold and flavourful smoking experience. In international markets, the brand carries the name La Aroma del Caribe.

Like its predecessors, the La Aroma de Cuba Habano Reserve is handcrafted at My Father Cigars S.A. in Estelí, Nicaragua. The blend features an Ecuadorian habano rosado wrapper enveloping Nicaraguan filler tobaccos cultivated by the García family in Estelí, Jalapa, and Namanji. According to Ashton, this composition results in a medium-full bodied profile with complex notes of coffee bean, molasses, cream, cedar, and spice.

The new blend makes its debut in a 6 x 52 Toro vitola, referred to as Monarch by Ashton. However, for now, the only way to get your hands on this cigar is through the La Aroma de Cuba ‘92-93 Rated’ Fresh Pack Sampler, which includes a selection of top-rated cigars from the brand. This sampler is priced at $39.99 MSRP.

Looking ahead, Ashton has announced plans to release the Habano Reserve Monarch in traditional 25-count boxes. These are expected to hit retailers this summer, with an MSRP of $9.50 per cigar. This upcoming launch ensures that aficionados will soon have broader access to this exciting new blend.

For La Aroma de Cuba enthusiasts and those seeking a robust yet refined Nicaraguan smoke, the Habano Reserve promises to be a worthy addition to their collection. Keep an eye on retailers this summer for its wider release.
