Viva La Vida Connecticut: A Milder Take on a Bold Classic
Artesano del Tobacco is introducing a new, milder version of its Viva La Vida line, featuring an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper instead of the original dark, full-bodied blend. This shift comes in response to consumer demand, with the Viva La Vida Connecticut set to debut at the PCA Trade Show 2025.
A Lighter Approach to Viva La Vida
Unlike its medium-to-full-bodied predecessor, this new cigar offers a mild-to-medium smoking experience, while maintaining Nicaraguan tobaccos in the binder and filler. A.J. Fernandez, renowned for his craftsmanship, continues to manufacture the line, ensuring consistency and quality.
Sizes, Pricing, and Availability
The Viva La Vida Connecticut will be available in two sizes:
• Robusto (5 x 54) – $14.50
• Toro (6 x 54) – $15.00
Both sizes will be packaged in 10-count boxes. The cigars will begin shipping to retailers on April 17, shortly after the PCA Trade Show concludes in New Orleans.
A New Chapter for Artesano del Tobacco
Since launching Viva La Vida in 2019, Artesano del Tobacco has built a reputation for bold blends. The Jester size ranked No. 13 in 2024, while its El Pulpo line—a more powerful offering—secured No. 10 in 2023. This latest release marks an exciting expansion for the brand, catering to those who prefer a smoother, more refined smoking experience.
