HVC La Rosa 520 10 Year Anniversary Set for May Release

HVC Cigars is celebrating a decade of its La Rosa 520 line with a special anniversary release. The La Rosa 520 10 Year Anniversary will feature a new blend while paying tribute to the original 2015 release. This limited edition will be available in May, marking a milestone for the brand.

The La Rosa 520 series was first introduced in 2015 as a way to honour a home in Havana, Cuba, where HVC founder Reinier Lorenzo grew up. The original cigar, a Nicaraguan puro, was produced by AGANORSA and was well received, earning a spot on halfwheel’s Top 25 Cigars of the Year in 2015. Now, ten years later, HVC is commemorating its success with a fresh take on the blend.

For this anniversary edition, HVC is using an Ecuadorian Habano 92 wrapper, a Jalapa binder, and fillers from three distinct Nicaraguan regions: Estelí, Jalapa, and Ometepe. The cigars are being crafted at the company’s own factory in Estelí, ensuring full control over production quality and flavour consistency.

HVC La Rosa 520 10 Year Anniversary will be available in two vitolas:

• Originales (6 1/4 x 54) – $13 per cigar (Box of 10, $130)
• Magnificos (6 1/2 x 52) – $14 per cigar (Box of 10, $140)

Although the Originales shares its size with the 2015 release, the blend is distinctly different. Additionally, both vitolas are highly limited, with only 1,000 boxes of 10 cigars being produced. The cigars are set to ship in mid-May.

This marks the third iteration of the La Rosa 520 line. In 2022, HVC released a version produced at El Titan de Bronze, making it the only HVC cigar to be made in the United States. With this latest anniversary edition, the brand continues to evolve while maintaining its deep connection to its roots.
