La Flor Dominicana Unveils Bold New Chapter for Suave at PCA 2025
La Flor Dominicana is reimagining its very first blend, Suave, with a modern touch and 30 years of expertise. The refined line debuts at PCA 2025 and ships this July with new packaging and two striking expressions.
La Flor Dominicana (LFD) is paying homage to its origins with the rebirth of Suave, the brand’s very first blend from 1994. Originally known as Premium Line, Suave was a mild, smooth Dominican cigar wrapped in Connecticut Shade. Now, on the cusp of LFD’s 30th anniversary, the blend is being completely reimagined for a new generation of smokers.
Co-founder Litto Gomez shared, “We asked ourselves, if we could go back to day one with everything we know now, what would this cigar have been?” The result is a mild-to-medium-bodied cigar that maintains the heart of the original Suave while showcasing LFD’s three decades of blending mastery.
The new Suave line comes in two wrapper versions—Natural and Grand Maduro—each available in original vitolas and packaged in strikingly refreshed boxes of 20. The Natural features an Ecuadorian Corojo wrapper, San Andrés binder, and Dominican fillers, while the Grand Maduro highlights a San Andrés wrapper, Jalapa binder, and the same Dominican core.
Natural Lineup:
• Gobernador (6 ¼ x 60)
• Maceo (5 x 48)
• Máximo (6 x 54)
Grand Maduro Lineup:
• Grand Maduro No. 5 (6 ¼ x 52)
• Grand Maduro No. 6 (5 ¾ x 54 Torpedo)
MSRP ranges from $8.40 to $12.80, making this a refined yet accessible addition to the LFD core line.
The presentation has also seen a dramatic shift. Tony Gomez, who led the packaging redesign, explained, “It’s bright and bold yet classic—it captures the elegance and joy that runs through our brand. Like riding a Paso Fino through our farm with a beautiful cigar in hand.”
Set to debut at the PCA Trade Show in New Orleans, Suave will begin shipping in July 2025, bringing the past and present together in one compelling new chapter.
