Maya Selva Unveils Villa Zamorano VZ Danlí for PCA 2025

April 8, 2025 Inspector X 2 min read

After a warm reception in Europe, Maya Selva Cigars brings the VZ Danlí collection to the U.S. market at PCA 2025. Crafted to celebrate 30 years of excellence, this new line honours the terroir and tradition of Honduras’ cigar heartland.

Following a successful European debut at InterTabac 2024, Maya Selva Cigars is set to officially launch its Villa Zamorano VZ Danlí line in the United States at the upcoming Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show 2025 in New Orleans. This new release commemorates the company’s 30th anniversary and pays tribute to the cultural and agricultural richness of Danlí, Honduras—now widely recognised as the cigar capital of the country.

The VZ Danlí collection comprises two hand-rolled vitolas—a Robusto and a Toro—meticulously blended using tobaccos from Trojes, Jamastrán Valley, and a touch from Azacualpa. Each leaf undergoes triple fermentation, with a focus on developing both strength and complexity without compromising balance. The result is a rich, expressive cigar that captures the soul of Danlí’s soil, climate, and craft.

These cigars are the genuine expression of their origin,” says the brand. “We have refined our knowledge and passion over three decades to offer a blend that truly represents the essence of Danlí.”
Nestled in El Paraíso, just 92km from Tegucigalpa, Danlí is a region shaped by its heritage in tobacco, coffee, and corn. Known as the “City of Hills,” its diverse cultural influence and cigar-making legacy are captured in every VZ Danlí stick.

Over the past three decades, Maya Selva Cigars has cemented its name in the premium cigar world through brands like Flor de Selva, Cumpay, and Villa Zamorano. Every part of the production process—from tobacco cultivation to packaging—takes place in Honduras, highlighting a deep-rooted commitment to local craftsmanship.

Distributed in over 40 countries across Europe, Asia, and the Americas, Maya Selva Cigars has built its success on consistency, authenticity, and a relentless pursuit of quality. The VZ Danlí is the latest chapter in this journey—a tribute to Honduran tradition, told through smoke and skill.
