La Aurora Debuts ‘Fuerte Sol’ and Revamped Treasure Box at PCA 2025
La Aurora USA introduces the first release of its Family Creed Series, Fuerte Sol, a bold, box-pressed blend celebrating legacy and innovation. Also launching is a newly packaged Treasure Box featuring La Aurora’s iconic Preferidos cigars in elegant tubos.
La Aurora Fuerte Sol: A New Chapter in a Storied Legacy
At PCA 2025 in New Orleans, La Aurora USA, LLC is unveiling the first release in its highly anticipated Family Creed Series: La Aurora Fuerte Sol. This bold, medium-to-full-bodied cigar is named for the sun—symbolising strength, endurance, and the unwavering values of the León family, founders of the oldest cigar factory in the Dominican Republic.
The Family Creed Series draws its name and inspiration from a set of guiding principles that have shaped La Aurora for generations. “This collection is not just a tribute to our past but a statement about our future,” said Guillermo León, President of La Aurora. “We’re not just offering a cigar—we’re sharing our family’s story through craftsmanship and innovation.”
Fuerte Sol is a modern yet deeply rooted expression of La Aurora’s identity. The blend is a complex marriage of Pennsylvania, Dominican, and Nicaraguan fillers, bound by a Nicaraguan binder and wrapped in a dark, rich Mexican San Andrés wrapper. The result is a flavour profile layered with spicy cedar, cocoa, toasted nuts, oak, and citrus, all delivered in a creamy, slightly sweet smoke.
Available in Box-Pressed Robusto (5×50) and Box-Pressed Toro (5.75×54) formats at launch (MSRP: $15.50 and $18.00 per cigar, respectively), a Gran Toro (6×58) will follow in Q4 2025. All sizes will be presented in elegant 20-count dress boxes, with shipments beginning in early May.
