CigarMedics, a brand best known for its HumidiMeter and high-quality cigar cutters, is expanding its portfolio with two cutting-edge industrial products designed to meet the needs of cigar manufacturers and distributors: the Factory Cigar Draw Tester and the Factory Cigar Moisture Meter.
Factory Cigar Draw Tester: Precision and Portability
The Factory Cigar Draw Tester is an innovative tool designed to measure the resistance of a cigar’s draw, an essential factor in ensuring the cigar’s quality. What sets this device apart is its portability—designed to be compact and easy to use, it is ideal for manufacturers who require precise testing in various environments.
This tester can measure cigars with or without a wrapper, and it doesn’t require changing tips between cigars of different sizes or shapes. The Factory Cigar Draw Tester features a Dwyer Magnehelic gauge, which ensures accurate readings, and an air filter to prevent any loose tobacco from contaminating the vacuum pump. At under 12 pounds, the device is lightweight and portable, making it easy to use across multiple locations.
Each unit is made-to-order, with a lead time of approximately three to four weeks, ensuring that every tester is customized to meet the specific needs of cigar manufacturers.
Factory Cigar Moisture Meter: Advanced Humidity Measurement
The Factory Cigar Moisture Meter is the latest advancement from CigarMedics, designed for commercial use in the cigar industry. Similar to the consumer-grade HumidiMeter, this device measures the moisture content inside cigars to determine if they are properly humidified, ensuring optimal smoking quality.
What makes the Factory Cigar Moisture Meter stand out is its more advanced features, including Bluetooth data export and built-in calibration, which provide manufacturers with greater control over the humidification process. This device brings a scientific approach to measuring moisture levels, offering precise readings that are crucial for maintaining the quality of cigars throughout the production process.
This moisture meter was developed in collaboration with Steve Saka, founder of Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust, who previously worked with CigarMedics on a cigar cutter project. The Factory Cigar Moisture Meter will be available starting early May 2025.
