Casa Molina to Debut Three Distinct Cigar Lines at PCA 2025

April 14, 2025 Inspector X 3 min read

Casa Molina, the new cigar brand from the Molina family of Habana Port Cigar Merchants, is making its trade show debut at PCA 2025. The brand will showcase three lines inspired by Spanish heritage, history, and bold tobacco blending.

After more than a decade in cigar retail, the Molina family—owners of Habana Port Cigar Merchants in Louisiana—are stepping confidently into the world of premium cigar manufacturing. At the upcoming PCA 2025 Convention & Trade Show, they will debut their new brand, Casa Molina, and introduce three cigar lines that reflect their passion for history, heritage, and craftsmanship.

Pelayo: A Tribute to Spanish History

First introduced last August, Pelayo is named after Don Pelayo, the legendary founder of the Christian Kingdom of Asturias in 8th-century Spain. The line features a Mexican San Andrés wrapper and binder, paired with Dominican and Nicaraguan filler tobaccos, delivering a bold, earthy profile with rich undertones.

Available vitolas include:
• Churchill (7 x 48) – $13.75
• Gordo (6 x 60) – $13.99
• Robusto (5 x 50) – $11.99
• Toro (6 x 52) – $12.80
(All come in boxes of 25.)

Valle de la Muerte: A Bold Blend with Depth

Spanish for “Death Valley”, Valle de la Muerte uses an Ecuadorian corojo wrapper, Nicaraguan binder, and a filler blend of Dominican and Nicaraguan tobaccos. It’s a robust, regular-production line first launched in February, designed for those who enjoy complexity and full flavour.

It mirrors the Pelayo line in both vitola options and pricing.

Serie España: Celebrating Spanish Cities

Paying homage to their Spanish roots, the Serie España line features four unique cigars, each named after a different Spanish city and presented in 10-count bundles:
• Liga Barcelona (5 5/8 x 48) – Ecuadorian corojo wrapper – $8.99
• Liga Córdoba (5 x 50) – Ecuadorian Connecticut-seed wrapper – $8.50
• Liga Granda (6 x 60) – Mexican San Andrés wrapper – $9.99
• Liga Madrid (6 x 50) – Mexican San Andrés wrapper – $8.99

Accessories and Expansion Plans

In addition to the cigars, Casa Molina will unveil two new ashtrays: a concrete ashtray and a Serie España Madrid porcelain 4-cigar ashtray, each retailing at $39.95.

All Casa Molina cigars are crafted at the Tabacalera La Isla factory in the Dominican Republic, with shipping to retailers scheduled immediately after the show.

Looking ahead, the Molina family also has ambitious plans to open a cigar factory in Baton Rouge, aiming to rekindle Louisiana’s legacy as a tobacco-producing state.
