La Galera Expands Half Corona Range with Four New Releases
La Galera Cigars is expanding its popular half corona offerings with four new blends arriving in tins by the end of May. These compact, handmade smokes deliver quality and variety at an accessible price point.
La Galera to Release Four New Half Corona Cigars This Month
La Galera is set to broaden its portfolio with the release of four new half corona cigars, arriving on retailer shelves by the end of May 2025. These compact 3 5/8 x 46 cigars will be added to the 1936 Box Pressed, Anemoi, Imperial Jade, and La Galera Maduro lines, offering aficionados more variety in a convenient and time-efficient format.
Each of the new half coronas will be sold in tins of five, priced at $36.19 per tin, which works out to just $7.24 per cigar—a compelling value given that these are fully handmade at Tabacalera Palma, the company’s renowned factory in the Dominican Republic. While the 1936 Box Pressed retains its signature box-pressed shape, the other three cigars in this release will be presented in a traditional round format.
This expansion builds on the success of La Galera’s existing half coronas, currently available in the Connecticut and Corojo lines. The format has proven particularly popular among smokers looking for a quick yet satisfying premium cigar, ideal for colder weather, lunch breaks, or shorter smoke sessions without compromising quality.
With this launch, La Galera offers six distinct blends in the half corona size—ensuring there’s something for every palate, from mild to full-bodied. Whether you’re a fan of the spicy Maduro, the bold Anemoi, or the refined 1936 Box Pressed, these new additions bring familiar flavours into a more accessible, portable format.
