E.P. Carrillo Ships 2025 Pledge of Allegiance Cigars With New Blend
The third edition of this patriotic limited series features a tweaked blend and a brand-new perfecto size known as Rockets.
E.P. Carrillo’s Pledge of Allegiance 2025 cigars are shipping to retailers this week, continuing the brand’s annual tradition of honouring American heritage through its premium limited-edition smokes. This third release introduces a fresh blend and a brand-new vitola.
As in previous years, the core format is a 6 x 54 Toro, housed in numbered boxes of 10, with only 1,776 boxes produced—a nod to the birth year of the United States. The cigars are priced at $22 each and showcase E.P. Carrillo’s continued commitment to quality and symbolism. For 2025, the brand debuts an additional size: Rockets, a 6 3/8 x 58 perfecto, also presented in boxes of 10. Only 249 boxes of Rockets have been produced, commemorating the USA’s 249th anniversary. These larger smokes retail for $30 each.
The 2025 blend sees notable changes. The wrapper is a dark, rich Connecticut Broadleaf, encasing an Ecuadoran Habano binder, and fillers from Nicaragua (Jalapa and Condega) and the United States (Connecticut and Pennsylvania). This marks a shift from previous blends, which used Ecuador Connecticut binders and included Dominican tobacco in the filler.
Wrapped in red, white, and blue bands, the cigars symbolise American pride. “This release is more than a cigar—it’s a tribute,” says Ernesto Perez-Carrillo. “The blend speaks to the strength and diversity that define the American spirit.”
Originally launched in 2023, Pledge of Allegiance began with a single Toro size, expanded in 2024 with a Salomon, and now in 2025 grows further in scope and complexity. As always, these cigars are rolled at Casa Carrillo in Santiago, Dominican Republic.
