Pablo Rodet to Depart Les Fines Lames After Seven Years

June 23, 2025 Inspector X 2 min read

Co-founder and international sales lead to exit cigar accessories brand at the end of June

Les Fines Lames has announced that co-founder Pablo Rodet will step down from his leadership role on 30 June 2025, after seven pivotal years at the helm of international development.

Rodet, who co-founded the French cigar accessories brand alongside Pierre Jourdan in 2015, has played a major role in shaping Les Fines Lames into a globally recognised name. His work in structuring the brand’s international distribution network helped propel its signature cigar knives and accessories to markets well beyond France.

In an email to clients dated 2 June, both co-founders confirmed the decision, stating: “Pablo Rodet, co-founder of Les Fines Lames and current CEO in charge of international sales development, will be stepping down… His contract will end on June 30th, 2025.” The message was signed jointly by Rodet and Jourdan.

Reflecting on his departure, Rodet wrote: “I’m proud of what we’ve built – with the team, our partners, and the cigar community who trusted us from day one. Thank you all.” His partner, Pierre Jourdan, added: “Pablo’s strategic insight and entrepreneurial drive have played a central role in the brand’s international growth.”

Les Fines Lames entered a new chapter in 2023 when the Vandermarliere Cigar Family (VCF) group, headed by Fred Vandermarliere, acquired full ownership of the company. As L’Amateur de Cigare reported earlier this year, VCF completed its acquisition by purchasing the remaining shares held by both founders.

Despite this leadership change, the brand has reiterated its commitment to innovation, craftsmanship, and global presence. Les Fines Lames is best known for its precision-engineered cigar knives, all designed and manufactured in France—a blend of French artisanal quality and modern functionality that has won a loyal following among cigar enthusiasts.

As the company enters its next phase under the stewardship of VCF, the legacy of Pablo Rodet’s contribution remains foundational. The industry will be watching closely to see what direction Les Fines Lames takes next.
