Dark Time by West Tampa Tobacco Co.: A Refined Experience, Limited by Design
Time, as they say, waits for no one—but Dark Time by West Tampa Tobacco Co. invites aficionados to pause and savour it. First unveiled at the PCA trade show in April, this one-off, limited release has just begun shipping to retailers, and it’s already turning heads with its combination of aged tobacco, elegant packaging, and a unique accessory.
The cigar comes in a single size—a classic Toro, measuring 6 inches long with a 54 ring gauge. The blend highlights a well-aged 2019 Connecticut broadleaf wrapper, chosen specifically for its ability to develop sweetness over time. Beneath that lies a Sumatra-seed binder from Ecuador and a carefully balanced filler blend of Dominican and Nicaraguan tobaccos. Rolled in 2021, the cigar has been resting for several years, allowing its flavours to mature and integrate.
Dark Time is positioned as a medium-bodied cigar, crafted to provide a rich yet approachable smoking experience. Priced at $29.99 per stick, it’s clearly aimed at premium consumers—and the presentation reflects that. Each black, piano-finish box holds ten cigars and includes a sleek cigar cutter modelled after the iconic Rolex Daytona watch, underscoring the brand’s message about the value of time well spent.
Manufactured at the NACSA factory in Nicaragua, this is a one-time release, with only 2,500 boxes produced. For collectors, connoisseurs, or anyone who appreciates cigars that come with both story and style, Dark Time represents a fleeting—but memorable—moment in West Tampa Tobacco Co.’s growing portfolio.
