Illusione’s OneOff Black & Tan line grows with the release of the new Toro size, now shipping to cigar retailers.

A Quiet Hit Returns in Toro Format

The OneOff Black & Tan made waves when the Robusto debuted last year. It even earned a place on a Top 25 list. Now, the Toro arrives—6 x 52, packed in boxes of 10, and priced at $17.80 per cigar.

Like the Robusto, the Toro is rolled in Nicaragua at the Aganorsa Leaf factory. All the tobacco comes from Aganorsa’s own farms. Illusione founder Dion Giolito remains tight-lipped about the blend. He confirms it’s entirely Nicaraguan and includes a rarely grown varietal, but won’t reveal which one.

A Brand with a Complicated Past

OneOff began in 2001, created by Italian tobacconist Andrea Molinari. It went through multiple ownership changes and periods of inactivity. At one point, it was owned by Cuban Crafters, a company known for producing budget-friendly cigars.

In 2017, Giolito acquired the brand and brought it back to life in 2018. He updated the line, restored its boutique reputation, and added new offshoots like Allegria and Black & Tan.
