RoMa Craft’s Steel Porcupine Begins Shipping This August

August 7, 2025 Inspector X 2 min read

RoMa Craft Tobac adds a bold new release to its Craft Maquette series. The Steel Porcupine cigar will begin shipping at the end of August in limited quantities.

A New Addition to the Craft Maquette Series

RoMa Craft Tobac continues to impress with its small-batch, limited-edition blends under the Craft Maquette line. The latest release, Steel Porcupine, is expected to begin shipping in the final week of August 2025.

Crafted at the company’s Nica Sueño factory in Estelí, Nicaragua, this cigar blends high-quality tobaccos from multiple origins. It features an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper, previously used on the Intemperance EC XVIII line. Beneath that lies a Cameroon-grown binder, paired with a mix of Honduran and Dominican fillers. The profile is described by RoMa Craft as “medium plus” in strength.

Size and Packaging Details

Steel Porcupine is available in just one format. RoMa Craft calls it the Short Fattys, a stout robusto measuring 4 1/2 inches by 56 ring gauge. With its thick gauge and short length, it promises a bold yet compact smoke. The retail price is set at $12 per cigar.

In line with the rest of the Craft Maquette range, Steel Porcupine cigars are not packed in wooden boxes. Instead, they come in paper-wrapped bundles, giving a rustic and minimalist presentation. Production is strictly limited, with only 700 bundles of 10 cigars being made — a total of 7,000 cigars.

Limited Run, Big Impact

As with all Craft Maquette releases, collectors and boutique cigar fans can expect the Steel Porcupine to sell quickly. Its distinctive blend, unique size, and small production run make it an exciting addition to the RoMa Craft portfolio.
