Joya de Nicaragua Unveils Antaño CT Pata Negra 2025
Joya de Nicaragua has introduced the Antaño CT Pata Negra 2025, an exclusive release for the Spanish market. This refined edition enhances the acclaimed Antaño CT blend through extended ageing, delivering a richer and more harmonious profile.
A Spanish Tribute
The name “Pata Negra” evokes exclusivity in Spain, traditionally linked to the prized and world famous Iberian ham. Joya de Nicaragua now applies this symbolism to cigars, offering Spanish smokers a premium, limited edition experience.
The Antaño CT Pata Negra 2025 honours both Spanish culture and the long-standing relationship between the company and Iberian aficionados.
The Antaño CT Legacy
Since its launch, Antaño CT has stood apart from typical Connecticut-wrapped cigars. It combines the smoothness of an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper with medium-to-full strength. Smokers find notes of cream, nuts, spice, and a hint of white pepper.
This balance secured Antaño CT halfwheel’s Cigar of the Year award in 2019. It remains one of Joya de Nicaragua’s most celebrated lines.
A More Refined Expression
The Pata Negra series takes established blends and elevates them through meticulous ageing. With Antaño CT Pata Negra, the profile becomes deeper, more complex, and more refined.
The 2025 edition is offered in a Doble Robusto (5 x 56) vitola, finished with a pigtail cap. Only 400 boxes of 20 cigars were produced, making it a rare find for collectors.
Recognition in Spain
This is the fourth release in the Pata Negra series. In 2024, the Antaño Gran Reserva Pata Negra earned Cigar of the Yearin Spain from Burkina The Revist. The accolade confirmed Joya de Nicaragua’s strong presence in the Spanish market.
Availability
The Antaño CT Pata Negra 2025 began shipping to Spain on 27 August 2025. Joya de Nicaragua describes it as a cigar that celebrates patience, mastery, and the enduring bond with Spanish smokers.
