John Daly Cigars Tee Off with San Giuseppe
Golfing icon John Daly has entered the cigar world with a new brand that reflects his easygoing style and legendary career. Partnering with San Giuseppe Cigars, Daly now has two Dominican-made blends: Long Game The Lion and Short Game The Wild One.
A Legend on and off the Course
Daly is famous for his massive drives and fearless play. He became the first PGA Tour player to average more than 300 yards in driving distance in 1997 and led the stat for 11 seasons. His two major wins—the 1991 PGA Championship and the 1995 Open Championship—cemented his status as a fan favourite.
Beyond golf, Daly built a reputation for living life on his own terms. Videos of him with vodka bottles and cigarettes are part of his lore. He even appeared in the sequel to Happy Gilmore, playing himself in a comedic cameo.
The John Daly Cigar Line
San Giuseppe created two cigars to capture Daly’s spirit:

Short Game The Wild One
Size: 4 1/2 x 50

New Packaging for Golfers
San Giuseppe will soon release humidified four-packs of the Short Game blend. Each pouch will include four pre-cut cigars and a Boveda pack, retailing for $26.95. This makes them easy to keep fresh on the course, at under $7 per stick. Distribution is planned for golf courses and convenience stores.
San Giuseppe and Sports Star Collaborations
Founded by Joseph Bonanno and Jaysen Messina, San Giuseppe has made cigars for sports stars like Wade Boggs and José Reyes. The John Daly line, launched in 2023, is rolled in Tamboril, Dominican Republic, at Profeta Cigars Inc. (also known as ProTabac), a factory in which San Giuseppe has ownership.
