Joya de Nicaragua to Manage U.S. Distribution Directly from 2026
Joya de Nicaragua will manage its U.S. distribution directly starting January 1, 2026. This move follows nearly two decades of partnership with Drew Estate.
A New Chapter for Joya de Nicaragua
Since 2008, Drew Estate has distributed Joya de Nicaragua in the U.S. Their collaboration has spanned 17 years, fostering growth and trust.
Dr. Alejandro Martínez Cuenca, Chairman of Joya de Nicaragua, explained the transition.
“This transition is not the end of a relationship; it is the natural evolution of one. We are standing on the shoulders of a friendship that has helped shape who we are today. This evolution is about taking ownership of the path ahead,” he said.
The change allows the brand to connect directly with cigar enthusiasts. It emphasises authenticity, meaningful experiences, and a focus on excellence.
Honouring Long-Standing Partnerships
Joya de Nicaragua expressed deep gratitude to Drew Estate and its team for their dedication. Jonathan Drew Sann, founder of Drew Estate, shared his admiration.
“Joya de Nicaragua has played a meaningful role in my life since 1998. Their dedication to staff, Nicaraguan families, and the brand’s values is extraordinary. Our admiration for the Martínez family and the Joya family will never change,” Sann said.
Looking Ahead
As Joya de Nicaragua prepares to lead its U.S. distribution, further details will be shared with retailers, partners, and cigar lovers.
In the meantime, trade partners can continue acquiring Joya de Nicaragua products through Drew Estate representatives. This evolution marks a new era built on decades of trust and shared passion for premium cigars.
