Deadwood Sweet Jane Día de los Muertos Returns for 2025
The much-loved Deadwood Sweet Jane Día de los Muertos returns for 2025, featuring bold new packaging and the same signature aromatic blend. Drew Estate started shipping the latest edition this week, marking the second consecutive release of the popular limited cigar.
A Familiar Favourite with a New Look
The 2025 version mirrors last year’s release. It comes as a 6 x 50 box-pressed toro, using the same undisclosed blend. Drew Estate describes the Deadwood Sweet Jane line as featuring a maduro wrapper and a mix of aromatic tobaccos. Each cigar has a sweetened cap, offering a unique combination of flavour and aroma that feels lightly infused.
While the cigar remains unchanged, the packaging brings fresh energy. The boxes of 20 now come in five vivid colours — light blue, orange, pink, purple, and yellow. Inside, each cigar features one of five differently coloured bands. Despite the visual variety, all cigars share the same blend and profile.
A Tribute with Meaning
Jonathan Drew, co-founder and president of Drew Estate, shared heartfelt sentiments about the release. “My hope is that as people smoke the Día de los Muertos they reflect back on loved ones lost, loved ones who find them in the smoke, and loved ones who remain in our daily rituals, always in our hearts. Yes, I love that.”
Limited and Collectible
Retailers will notice a small price increase, with the MSRP now set at $12.85 per cigar, up from $12. Drew Estate has not disclosed production numbers, though it confirmed the 2025 release as limited.
Interestingly, this could be the cigar’s third appearance. In 2019, Drew Estate launched a similar 6 x 50 Sweet Jane Día de los Muertos. The company has never confirmed whether the 2019, 2024, and 2025 blends are identical, adding a touch of mystery to the cigar’s legacy.
