CANH and Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust Announce Fiddlehead 2026 to Support Cigar Rights in New Hampshire
The Cigar Association of New Hampshire (CANH) and Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust confirm the 2026 release of Fiddlehead, a small-batch cigar created to fund efforts protecting New Hampshire’s cigar freedoms.
Fiddlehead 2026: A Cigar for a Cause
The Cigar Association of New Hampshire (CANH) has officially announced the release of Fiddlehead 2026, a special small-batch project crafted by Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust (DTT). Scheduled for late February or early March 2026, this limited release aims to support CANH’s mission to keep New Hampshire a premium cigar tax-free state and defend the rights of cigar smokers and retailers alike.
Fiddlehead is more than a cigar—it’s a symbol of unity within the New Hampshire cigar community. All parties involved make financial sacrifices to contribute to this cause: retailers accept smaller profits, DTT reduces its margins, and consumers pay slightly more. The combined effort raises crucial funds to support CANH’s advocacy work.

The 2026 edition will be available exclusively through participating New Hampshire tobacconists, including:

Dunbarton’s Commitment to Advocacy
Steve Saka, founder of Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust, described Fiddlehead as one of his favourite projects. For Saka, this initiative is about more than cigars—it’s about industry collaboration and civic engagement.
He emphasised the importance of unity in facing government regulation:
“No one is going to save you from overbearing regulation and taxes—you must do it yourselves. Work with your competitors and come together for the common cause.”
Saka hopes that New Hampshire’s model will inspire retailers in other states to engage directly with their governments to safeguard the premium cigar industry.
