Casa Carrillo Launches Battleborn Warriors Nationwide
Casa Carrillo has begun nationwide shipping of its limited-edition Battleborn Warriors, a cigar created to honour veterans and first responders. The release highlights the brand’s enduring commitment to craftsmanship, community, and meaningful causes, arriving just ahead of Veterans Day on 11 November.
A Tribute to Service and Sacrifice
The Battleborn project was inspired by Lionel H. McKoy, a U.S. Navy veteran and long-time member of the Casa Carrillo family. His two decades of service and loyalty inspired the line’s creation—a cigar symbolising strength, sacrifice, and gratitude.
“Battleborn is about respect—rolled into every leaf,” said Ernesto Perez-Carrillo Jr. “It’s our way of recognising those who protect, serve, and endure for the sake of others.”
Blend and Construction
The Battleborn Warriors comes in a 6 x 56 Toro Gordo format, wrapped in a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper over dual binders from Mexico and Nicaragua, with Nicaraguan fillers. This composition delivers a rich, full-bodied profile with depth, spice, and balance.
Each box of 20 cigars is individually numbered, limited to 2,500 boxes worldwide. Every purchase includes a Battleborn-logoed dog tag, symbolising honour and remembrance. The cigars are priced at $22 per stick or $440 per box.
Supporting a Greater Cause
In line with Casa Carrillo’s social initiative, Carrillo Cares, proceeds from the Battleborn project support charities dedicated to veterans and first responders.
The first Battleborn event took place on 20 September at Finck’s Lone Star Cigar Bash in San Antonio, Texas, where Casa Carrillo donated $6,000 from box sales to the Fisher House Foundation.
“Through Carrillo Cares, we’ve always believed our cigars should do more than deliver great flavour,” said Lissette Perez-Carrillo. “They should give back to those who’ve given so much. Supporting veterans and first responders is an honour that continues to inspire us.”
Availability and Retail Rollout
Shipping for Battleborn Warriors began this week to select retailers across the United States. Additional events and charitable collaborations are planned throughout the remainder of the year, solidifying Casa Carrillo’s commitment to community and cause-driven craftsmanship.
