Davidoff’s Zodiac Legacy Continues

Since 2013, Davidoff has marked each Lunar New Year with exceptional limited editions inspired by the Chinese zodiac. Following the conclusion of its 12-year cycle with the Year of the Snake, the brand begins a bold new chapter in 2026 with the Year of the Horse Limited Edition.

This new collection highlights Davidoff’s expertise in proprietary hybrid tobaccos, with three vintage fillers enhancing depth and balance. “Our limited-edition Year of the Horse cigars showcase our innovation in seed development and blending,” said Edward Simon, CSMO of Oettinger Davidoff.

Each edition comes with a numbered collector’s coin—an elegant detail that encourages exchange and camaraderie among aficionados.

Limited Edition 2026 Toro Especial

The toro especial format debuts for the first time in Davidoff’s history. Crafted by master rollers with over 15 years of experience, it features a complex blend of proprietary hybrid tobaccos aged over four decades.

Expect creamy, chocolate, and roasted hazelnut notes with a smooth, medium-to-full body profile. The 70–90 minute smoke delivers a refined balance and a lingering finish.

Pioneering Design Inspired by the Horse

Both editions are presented in elegant dark wood boxes adorned with auspicious red and green details. Inside, equestrian-inspired elements like a stitched green frame and removable leather strap mirror the saddle and reins of a horse. Each cigar carries a second band accented in green—one of the Horse’s lucky colours.

Accessories Gift Set

Davidoff introduces a limited Accessories Gift Set designed for aficionados born under the Horse sign. Limited to 328 pieces, the set includes:

The Masterpiece Humidor

The Year of the Horse Masterpiece Humidor is the crown jewel of the collection. Each of the 20 pieces features a rearing horse motif designed by artist Chengyu Wang and crafted in straw marquetry by French artisan Agnès Paul-Depasse. Five metres of silk thread form the horse’s mane and tail, making every humidor a unique work of art.

Each humidor includes 88 gran toro cigars, a number symbolising wealth and prosperity in Chinese culture.
