Fine Tobacco Club Enters the Cigar Scene
New York City’s Fine Tobacco Club, known for its cigar events and long-standing community presence, is stepping into cigar production with its first collaboration. Partnering with HVC Cigars, the club unveils the Ledger Series Vol. 1, marking a new chapter in its fifteen-year journey of cigar appreciation and craftsmanship.
The club, formerly known for its cigar blog Fine Tobacco NYC, has grown into a hub for aficionados seeking refined experiences. Now, its team channels years of tasting feedback and event insights into a cigar designed to capture the preferences of its loyal community.
The Ledger Series Vol. 1 Details
The Ledger Series Vol. 1 is a 5½ x 50 robusto extra handmade at Fábrica de Tabacos HVC S.A. de Reinier Lorenzoin Nicaragua. It features an Ecuadorian Habano 92 wrapper, a Nicaraguan Corojo 99 binder, and Nicaraguan fillers. The blend delivers a medium-bodied, medium-strength profile that balances depth with approachability.
Priced at $13 per cigar, production is limited to 500 bundles of 10 cigars, underscoring the boutique nature of this release. The cigars are already reaching select retailers, offering enthusiasts an early opportunity to explore this collaboration.
Launch Event in Manhattan
To celebrate the release, Fine Tobacco Club will host an exclusive launch event on Wednesday, November 12, at The Carnegie Club, one of Manhattan’s most iconic cigar lounges.
Founder Matthias Clock shared his excitement about the project, noting, “After fifteen years of hosting events and learning what our community gravitates toward flavour-wise, it’s incredibly gratifying to see those insights culminate in this first release. The feedback process for this cigar was rigorous, and Reinier executed that vision beautifully.”
