Rocky Patel Celebrates 30 Years with Thirtieth Anniversary Cigar Line
Rocky Patel Cigars is celebrating three decades in the cigar industry with the launch of the Rocky Patel Thirtieth Anniversary line. The new cigars, previewed earlier this year at the PCA Trade Show, are now shipping to retailers across the United States.
Three Decades of Dedication
Thirty years ago, few in the cigar world had heard of Rocky Patel. After leaving a successful career as an entertainment lawyer, Patel entered the cigar business—an unlikely move that became a lasting success story. Today, he stands among the most respected figures in premium cigars, recognised as a Cigar Aficionado Hall of Famer.
To mark this milestone, Patel has created a cigar that embodies his commitment to craft, consistency, and aged tobacco.
Exceptional Blend and Construction
The Thirtieth Anniversary cigars are dark, box-pressed, and medium-to-full in strength. Each features a Mexican San Andrés wrapper, paired with two Nicaraguan binders aged for more than seven years. The filler blend combines Honduran and Nicaraguan tobaccos, each aged for over five years.
The regular production line includes three sizes:
- Robusto (5 ½ x 50) – $18
- Toro (6 ½ x 52) – $19
- Sixty (6 x 60) – $20
All formats come in 20-count boxes, crafted at the company’s Tavicusa factory in Nicaragua.
Limited Edition Toro Release
In addition to the core line, Rocky Patel has produced a limited-edition Toro, showcasing even older tobaccos. Each cigar comes in its own rectangular tubo and retails for $47.50.
This exclusive version is limited to 1,000 boxes of 10 cigars, making it one of Patel’s most exclusive releases to date.
