RE Tobacco Co. Unveils Aladino Year of the Horse for Asian Markets

December 11, 2025 Inspector X 2 min read

JRE Tobacco Co. has launched the Aladino Year of the Horse, its first Lunar New Year cigar. The company created this limited edition exclusively for Asia, with shipments reaching retailers earlier this month.

Aladino Year of Horse

Introduction to the Release

JRE Tobacco Co. continues its global expansion with a strategic focus on Asia. The company released Aladino Year of the Horse as a limited-edition Lunar New Year cigar. Many brands now embrace zodiac themes, and JRE joins this trend with confidence. The exclusive nature of this release strengthens the brand’s presence in Asian markets.

A First for JRE Tobacco Co.

JRE produced its first Lunar New Year cigar with this project. The cigar comes in a single Torpedo vitola measuring 6 inches by 54 ring gauge. The company highlights Honduran tobacco, which remains central to the Aladino identity. Every leaf in the blend comes from Eiroa family farms in the Jamastran Valley. This approach reinforces JRE’s commitment to its heritage.

Cultural Significance and Branding

The zodiac theme carries personal meaning for the Eiroa family. Year of the Horse matches the zodiac sign of Justo Eiroa, who co-founded JRE Tobacco Co. with his father, Julio. The packaging reflects this link through bold red and gold styling. Each box shows a stylised gold horse and the Chinese character 正, meaning “just”, to honour Justo.

Medium-Body Profile Positioned for Asia

JRE describes the blend as medium in body. This choice serves a broad range of consumers in the region. Asian markets often favour balanced cigars with clarity in flavour. JRE aims to meet this demand without losing the signature Aladino character.

Limited Production and Pricing

The Eiroa family produces the cigars at Fabrica de Puros Aladino S.A. in Honduras. JRE limits production to 600 numbered boxes, each containing 20 cigars. The cigars retail at $19.40 per stick or $388 per box. Collectors will likely respond strongly due to the small production run. Retailers can expect interest from enthusiasts who follow JRE’s limited offerings.
