CRA Releases Winter 2025 Freedom Sampler with Exclusive Additions
Cigar Rights of America has released its Winter 2025 Freedom Sampler, a 10-cigar pack that funds its advocacy efforts while offering rare and exclusive cigars.A Fundraising Sampler with Purpose
Cigar Rights of America (CRA) ends the year with a new edition of its Freedom Sampler. The Winter 2025 release supports the organisation’s work across multiple regulatory fronts. CRA focuses on protecting premium cigar freedoms at local, state, federal, and international levels. The sampler also strengthens ties with leading cigar manufacturers.
The pack contains 10 cigars from 10 respected companies. Most of these companies sit on the CRA board. Each brand donates its cigars, which CRA places in a custom Boveda bag. This format ensures freshness and enhances presentation for retailers.
CRA spends a small amount on logistics, but the majority of revenue from wholesale sales funds lobbying and outreach. This model demonstrates strong industry support for CRA’s mission.
Composition of the Sampler
The Winter 2025 Sampler features a curated mix of acclaimed cigars:
Ashton VSG Belicoso No. 1 (5 1/4 x 52)
Fuente Fuente OpusX Oro Rosado Oscuro Reserva d’Chateau (7 x 48)
Diamond Crown Maximus Toro No. 4 (6 x 50)
La Flor Dominicana Andalusian Bull (6 1/2 x 64)
My Father García y García Robusto Deluxe (5 3/4 x 52)
Oliva Serie V Box-Pressed Figurado (6 x 60)
Padrón Black No. 600 Maduro (5 3/4 x 54)
Plasencia Alma Fuerte Nestor IV (6 1/4 x 54)
Sixty by Rocky Patel Toro (6 1/2 x 52)
Tatuaje Smashed Pumpkin Corojo (6 x 52)
New and Noteworthy Additions
The sampler contains notable releases and intriguing firsts.
Tatuaje contributes a new variant of its Smashed Pumpkin with a Nicaraguan-grown corojo wrapper. This wrapper continues the company’s year-long focus on Nicaraguan corojo across several lines. The Pumpkin series has appeared in previous CRA samplers, often with different wrappers and formats.
Oliva introduces a new 6 x 60 box-pressed figurado for its Serie V. This shape expands the line beyond the standard Special V Figurado.
Padrón’s inclusion raises interest as well. The Padrón Black No. 600 Maduro appears to debut here. The Fall 2024 sampler featured a natural version. Jorge Padrón has indicated that the Black line’s profile sits between the Serie 1926 and Family Reserve, leaning to the fuller Family Reserve side.
Plasencia joins a CRA sampler for the first time. The Alma Fuerte Nestor IV adds significant prestige to the pack, especially as Plasencia does not serve on CRA’s board.
Pricing and Availability
CRA produced 5,000 Winter 2025 Freedom Samplers. Each sells for $240. Shipments to retailers have just begun. Given the exclusive additions and strong brand representation, retailers can expect interest from collectors and advocates who support CRA’s mission.
