Illusione Ships Group of Five SE and New Original Documents Tubos
Illusione has begun shipping three new products to retailers this week. The rollout includes the Group of Five SE and two new tubos additions to the Original Documents line. The shipments expand Illusione’s portfolio with a larger format release and practical packaging updates.
The Group of Five SE Arrives
The Group of Five SE marks the second of five planned releases under The Group of Five banner. The cigar measures 6 x 56 and uses a toro extra format. It follows the original 5 x 52 robusto, known as RB. Illusione has kept full blend details under wraps. The company has confirmed the use of Nicaraguan criollo 98 and corojo 99 tobaccos. Rollers at Aganorsa Leaf handle production in Nicaragua.
Format, Packaging, and Pricing
The SE carries an MSRP of $18.60 per cigar. Each cigar features teal-coloured foil wrapping, a presentation Illusione reserves for select larger formats. Boxes contain 15 cigars. Foil packaging remains uncommon across the Illusione range. The company has previously used it on other 6 x 56 toro extra releases. Interestingly, Illusione announced shipment of the Group of Five SE last July alongside the OneOff Black and Tan Toro. That release never reached stores. This week’s shipment completes the delayed rollout.
New Original Documents Tubos
Illusione also shipped two new 6 x 50 toro tubos. The additions join the Original Documents Corojo and Original Documents Habano lines. Both cigars use entirely Nicaraguan tobacco. The blends differ, but the construction and vitola remain consistent across the two releases.
A New Vitola for Each Line
While some brands offer tubos as alternate packaging, Illusione took a different route. These releases introduce a new vitola for each Original Documents blend. The tubos aim to provide portability and protection without altering the smoking experience. Each cigar carries an MSRP of $13.60.
Expanding with Intent
The combination of a larger Group of Five format and practical tubos reflects Illusione’s measured approach to line expansion. Each release adds definition rather than redundancy.
Retailers now receive three distinct offerings. Smokers gain access to a delayed SE release and two everyday-friendly tubos in established blends.
