Ireland’s First Regional Edition Cuban Arrives in the U.K.
Ireland’s first-ever Regional Edition Cuban cigar will soon reach British shelves. The Punch Néctares No. 50 Exclusivo Irlanda makes its U.K. debut in early February, marking a milestone for Irish Habanos history.
From Ireland to the United Kingdom
The cigar launches in England during the first week of February. Its initial appearance takes place at James J. Fox on February 5.
After one week, availability expands nationwide. Habanos Cigar Specialists will carry the release across the U.K. Hunters & Frankau handles distribution as the exclusive Habanos importer for the region.
A Landmark Regional Edition
Ireland’s First Habanos Exclusive
The Punch Néctares No. 50 Exclusivo Irlanda represents Ireland’s first Regional Edition Cuban cigar. Habanos S.A.approved the project for Ireland last year.
The cigar debuted in Ireland in 2025. Its release acknowledged the country’s growing role within the global Habanos network. Demand followed quickly among collectors and Punch loyalists.
Reviving the Néctares Name
Néctares once existed as a Punch sub-brand. James J. Fox sold it exclusively in Dublin and London decades ago. The line disappeared during the 1980s.
Its return carries historic weight. Rob Fox described the release as a moment of pride for Ireland. The project reconnects modern Punch with its retail heritage.
Cigar Specifications and Production
Format, Packaging, and Pricing
The Néctares No. 50 measures 6 1/4 inches by a 50 ring gauge. The vitola arrives in cabinets of 50 cigars. Each cabinet carries individual numbering.
Production remains tightly limited. Total output stands at 1,400 cabinets, equalling 70,000 cigars. The suggested retail price sits at €65 per cigar.
Presentation and Bands
The cigar features two bands. One displays a customised Punch design with the vitola name. The second band identifies the cigar as “Exclusivo Irlanda.”
Together, the bands distinguish it clearly from regular production Punch cigars.
What the U.K. Launch Means
The U.K. launch offers British smokers access to a previously Irish-only release. Collectors gain another limited Cuban with defined provenance.
The February timing adds urgency. Initial stocks remain limited. Once cabinets sell through, the release will not return.
