Arturo Fuente has introduced its first cigar with a Mexican wrapper. The Don Carlos Sangre de Toro line now reaches retailers after a gradual multi-size rollout.

Fuente Embraces Mexican San Andrés Wrapper

Arturo Fuente has entered new territory with this release. The company has never previously used Mexican wrapper leaf. Carlos Fuente Jr. first revealed the project three years ago. He showed a bale of Mexican tobacco during a Dominican visit. He described it only as a special project at the time.

That project became the Don Carlos Sangre de Toro. The line features a dark Mexican San Andrés wrapper. An all-Dominican blend forms the core. The contrast delivers strength with refined balance. Enthusiasts have anticipated the release since its early preview.

Gradual Market Rollout Since PCA Preview

Early Sizes and Pricing

Fuente first previewed the line at the 2025 PCA trade show. The company then released sizes in phases. Sangre de Bestia measures 6 1/4 x 52 and retails at $16.75. Puro Cajones measures 5 3/4 x 54 and costs $15.75.

Two additional vitolas followed in later months. Undefeated measures 5 1/2 x 46 and sells for $14.60. Raging Bull arrives in a 5 7/8 x 55 torpedo format at $18.50. Each size targets a slightly different smoking experience.

Final Size Still Pending

The Robusto remains the only size yet to ship. It measures 5 x 50 with a suggested retail price of $15. Retailers expect arrival soon. Completion of the range will solidify the full portfolio.

Production, Packaging and Flavour Profile

Dominican Craftsmanship

Tabacalera A. Fuente y Cia. produces every Sangre de Toro cigar in the Dominican Republic. Boxes contain 20 cigars with a high-gloss finish. The lid artwork depicts a charging bull. The phrase “corazón con cojones” appears prominently. The wording signals bold flavour and intensity.

Early tastings have confirmed strong body and rich depth. The Mexican San Andrés wrapper adds earthiness and sweetness. The Dominican core maintains classic Fuente elegance.
