1502 Celebrates its10th Birthday
The Nicaraguan brand from Enrique Sánchez was founded in 2012 as a tribute to Sanchez’s home country Nicaragua. Even the name is a nod to Nicaragua, as Christoper Columbus discovered the country in that year. The cigars will debut at the PCA Convention & Trade Show in July of this year and the first boxes will be ready to be shipped directly after PCA.
The cigar is named 1502 Aniversario 10 and comes in boxes of 10. At first, there will only be a 6×50 vitola available but if the line is a success, there might be more vitolas in the future. It is not a limited edition but a regular production series made at Tabacalera AJ Fernandez Cigars de Nicaragua S.A. in boxes of 10 cigars.
The blend consists of filler tobaccos from Nicaragua under a Mexican San Andres binder. The wrapper comes from Ecuador and is Habano.
