A new 601 La Bomba Warhead coming from Espinosa
A new 601 La Bomba Warhead coming from Espinosa. Espinosa Premium Cigars is releasing the 7th 601 La Bomba Warhead at the PCA Convention & Trade Show in Las Vegas next week.
The 601 La Bomba Warhead 2021 is a 7×50 Churchill. It is box-pressed and consists of all Nicaraguan tobacco. The wrapper is broadleaf. The initial production is 2000 boxes, but with enough demand, there will be another run. Yet, production will stop latest in December as the 601 La Bomba Warhead is, and will be, a limited edition. Production tales place as the San Lotano factory in Ocotal, Nicaragua. That’s the smaller factory of A.J. Fernandez. Even though Espinosa Cigars owns Tabacalera La Zona, some of their cigars are coming off the rolling tables of A.J. Fernandez.
Warhead series
The 601 La Bomba Warhead saw the light in 2013. It is a stronger version of the 601 La Bomba. And the 601 La Bomba itself is the strongest of the four regular production 601 lines. Espinosa warns on his website that the 601 La Bomba is an extremely full bodied cigar. Not recommended for novice smokers.
The three other 601 series are the 601 Maduro with the blue label, the 601 Oscuro with the green label, and the 601 Habano with the red label. The warhead always features artwork inspired by the World War II era. The Shark Face is a reference to the Flying Tigers, the 1st American Volunteer Group, who would paint the shark faces on their military aircraft.
