AJ Fernandez Unveils New Enclave Blended by Eladio Díaz

March 25, 2025 Inspector X 2 min read

AJ Fernandez has quietly introduced a new version of its Enclave line, crafted by none other than Eladio Díaz. Known for his tenure as Davidoff’s director of quality and blending expert, Díaz brings his extensive expertise to this latest offering.

Despite growing interest, AJ Fernandez has remained tight-lipped regarding details of the new line. A company spokesperson stated in February that they are not yet ready to disclose specifics. However, retailer Smoke Inn in South Florida has provided some insight into the cigar’s composition, listing a Corojo 99 wrapper from an undisclosed country, an Ecuadorian binder, and a Dominican filler.

The line is currently available in three sizes:
• Robusto (5 1/2 x 54) – $9 per cigar (Box of 20: $180)
• Toro (6 x 54) – $9.50 per cigar (Box of 20: $190)
• Gordo (6 x 60) – $10 per cigar (Box of 20: $200)

These cigars are reportedly produced in the Dominican Republic, likely at Díaz’s Tabacalera Diaz Cabrera factory. While AJ Fernandez cigars are predominantly manufactured in Nicaragua, this isn’t the first Dominican-made blend under the brand. In 2018, the company partnered with Jose “Jochy” Blanco of Tabacalera Palma to create the San Lotano Dominicano.

The original Enclave line, launched in July 2015, was a collaborative effort between Abdel and his father, Ismael Fernandez. With this latest addition, AJ Fernandez continues to push the boundaries of craftsmanship, bringing together legendary blending expertise with a refined, new smoking experience.
