Alec Bradley Release An Exclusive Subscription Cigar

August 22, 2022 Billie 2 min read

Alec & Bradley Rubin, the sons of Alec Bradley founder Alan Rubin, have released another cigar but this one is a bit different. It’s a cigar exclusively for a subscription service called My Cigar Pack. But this subscription service also has a retailer program, so its most likely that the Madcap will end up on the shelves of a selected few retailers.

The cigars are made over a year ago at Raíces Cubanas factory in Danlí, Honduras with a Mexican San Andrés wrapper over a Honduran binder and fillers from Colombia, Honduras and Nicaragua. The only vitola available is a 6×52 Toro and only 5000 of these cigars are available for 2022.

“This has been the cigar we’ve worked on for the most time, through multiple visits in the blending process that was spearheaded by Bradley (Rubin), some minor logistics delays, and most importantly, waiting for the cigar to smoke perfect,” says Alexander Berezowski of My Cigar Pack, in a press release. “(The) cigar was mainly blended by Alec & Bradley and I only had a say in minor tweaks to go with the final selection as the result was a modification of some options they were already working on.”

“We’re in a business and culture that’s been around for hundreds of years and to create something unique is the biggest challenge,” said Bradley Rubin. “But creating something fun, is not. Madcap, meaning eccentric, is meant to bring out the fun in the cigar industry. To be our true selves and not take ourselves too seriously is the point of Madcap and it’s what we hope people get out of this cigar.”
